William S. Mitchell

William S. “Bill” Mitchell, age 72, of Hartville, was received into his beloved Savior’s arms on Friday, December 11, 2020. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 20, 1948 to William and Frances (Taylor) Mitchell. He served as founding pastor of Abundant Grace Ministries.  

His life’s work was to help people see the glory of the Lord and experience the love of the Father. This eternal legacy lives on in the myriad of hearts he touched. He was married to his joint heir in the grace of life, Marsha (Sommers), for 45 years. He took great joy in being “Poppy” to his three treasured granddaughters. He is survived by his wife, Marsha (Sommers); son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Ruth; granddaughters, Ava, Ellie and Lily; siblings, Tom (Terry), Ron (Amy), Scott, Kathy (Bill) Ratcliff; sister-in-law Colleen Mitchell; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Steve and Mike. 

Walk-through calling hours will be held Saturday, December 19th 12 PM-2 PM and 3 PM-6 PM at Abundant Grace Ministries. Funeral services will be Sunday, December 20th at 2 PM at the church and will be live-streamed for all to watch. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Abundant Grace Ministries.
