Vera P. Heisler

Vera P. Heisler, age 75, of Canton, and for the past 8 years a resident of Belair Community in Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday April 11, 2021. She was born in Canton on July 21, 1945. She was at McKinley High School for many years helping with special need children. She retired from Siffrin Inc. caring for disabled men at two group homes, where she enjoyed working with the residents. Vera was known for being her own person but a strong foundation in her family. She loved her family reunions and her Catholic Faith. She looked forward to long car rides, movies, shopping and her “bling” from her jewelry. Jewelry didn’t need to be expensive just attractive. Vera was a simple person but a strong person, continually fighting odds and challenges. 

She is survived by children Barbara (Don) Cremeans, Robert (Sungchu) Everhart, Adam (Jill) Stedham; grandchildren Christine and Patrick Sullivan, Paul (Stephanie), Sara and Brian (Brooke) and Elizabeth Everhart, Ian and Sam Stedham; great-grandchildren Sierra, Gaige and Kaeden Sullivan, Oliva, Abigail and Landon Everhart, Ozell Varnadore, Chase Carter; sisters Linda Stout and Bette Smith from Canton, other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death parents; her aunt and uncle who raised her Bette and Bob Lavine; bother Rex Heisler; and sister Sandy Bracken.    

Calling hours are Thursday JULY 1st from 1-1:30 PM at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. A Celebration of Life begins at 1:30 PM at the funeral home, then includes burial of cremains at Mount Peace Cemetery at 2:30 PM, and continues with family and friends for a meal at the Uniontown Community Park.
