Ruth A. Miller, age 72, of Hartville went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 4, 2021. She was born in Canton, Ohio on March 5,1949 to Ernest and Mabel (Schlabach) Weaver. Ruth was a life-long member of Maple Grove Mennonite Church. Her life revolved around this community, of which she served on many committees and taught Sunday School. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit and kindness to all she met. She, along with her late husband, Eugene, helped with numerous Mennonite Disaster Service projects. She was a mother of three girls and spent much of her life attending to the needs of her family, including her 5 grandchildren. Her hobbies included making Creative Memory photo albums for her family, organizing the sewing at Maple Grove, gardening and cooking.
She is survived by her three daughters: Victoria (Steve) Brenneman, Laurie (Mark) Deavers, Stephanie Miller; grandchildren: Solomon (Kaitlyn Troyer), Seth, Sadie Brenneman, Anna and Isaac Deavers; Mother Mabel Weaver; Sibings – Marvin (Rheda) Weaver, Becky (Tom) Lubbers, Pauline Webb, Debbie (Tom) Hough, Tom (Julie) Weaver, Leona (Laverne) Sommers, Steve (Clare) Weaver, Janet (Clark) Lovrien, Tim (Linda) Weaver, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by husband Eugene Miller, father, Ernest Weaver, and sister, Anita Weaver.
Calling hours are Wednesday, December 8 from 9:00-10:00am at Maple Grove Mennonite Church in Hartville, Ohio. The funeral service will begin at 10:30am with Pastors Myron Weaver and Nathanael Hofstetter-Rissler officiating. The funeral service will be live streamed and can be found on the Maple Grove website. Her final resting place is Walnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maple Grove Mennonite Church or Lighthouse Ministries in Canton.
