Ronald L. Packman

Ronald L. Packman, age 85, of Uniontown passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Rose Lane Nursing Home. He was born September 27, 1934 in Waukegan, IL to Emil and Opal (Porter) Packman. He graduated from Waukegan High School and entered the Air Force, serving in the Korean War. Following the war, he married his high school sweetheart of 65 years, Antoinette Marie. Ron joined the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and worked his way from mail clerk to Manager in the Merchandising Department and spent over 35 years with the company. He loved staying active through running, biking, golf, and extensive travel. Ron was a faithful participant in the AA program, and recently celebrated 41 years sober. Ron and Antoinette spent their winters at The Villages in Florida, making many friends and memories during their stays. He valiantly fought his multiple cancer diagnoses without complaint these past few years. Family was important to Ron and he was a wonderful father and grandfather, hardly missing any get togethers or family events throughout the years.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Antoinette. Survived by his daughters Judy Husk, Karen Watts, and Cindy (James) Baxter; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.

A private family service will be held 1pm Monday, May 4, 2020 at Mt. Peace Cemetery with Celebrant Kevin O’Brien officiating. Those who would like to join may watch at the Arnold Funeral Home Facebook Page.
