Robert C. Lichty died suddenly May 31, 2022. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Nancy Lichty. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Rubin, two sons Christopher (Krista) and Curtis, two-step children Carol Rubin and Sam (Jessie) Rubin, granddaughters Briana, Aubrie, Aria, and Laikyn Lichty and two-step grandsons, as well as his brother Patrick Lichty.
Bob was the owner of Motorcar Portfolio in the business of buying and selling classic cars. Bob spent a career spanning over 50 years in the classic car hobby and business with numerous organizations starting with Hemmings Motor News and later Old Cars' Weekly. Bob was an accomplished artist and musician. He was previously director of the Canton Classic Car Museum. Bob was past President of the Lincoln Highway Association and impetus of Centennial Celebration of 2013. Bob was the author of several books and many articles about classic cars and the antique car hobby. In lieu of flowers contributions to the Canton Symphony Orchestra would be appreciated.
Calling hours will be held Monday, June 6 in the Arnold Funeral Home at 1517 Market Ave N. from 10-11:30 AM, funeral services will follow at 11:30 with Celebrant Kevin O'Brien officiating. Burial will take place in Schoenbrunn Meadow Cemetery in New Philadelphia.
