Richard (Dick) Bestic, age 77, passed away Sunday, January 17th, 2021 with family by his side due to complications from Covid-19. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was born May 21st, 1943 in Canton, Ohio to Joseph and Barbara (Radicevic) Bestic. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by son, Joseph Bestic. Dick graduated from Timken High School and attended Stark Technical College. He was employed by Macomber and the Knoch Corporation, where he later became a partner and retired in 2005. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Faith (Contrucci) Bestic, daughters Lisa Bestic and Eve (Mike) Douglas, son Christopher (Melanie) Barress and daughter-in-law Sandy (Zigmont) Bestic; 7 grandsons Jacob and Alex Bestic, John Mark and Henry Tobias, Christian Barress, Colton and Maverick Douglas; 2 granddaughters Gabriella and Alaina Barress; Sister Joan (Walter) Turowski and nieces and nephews. Dick was a member of St. Anthony/All Saints Parish, Knights of Columbus, Buckeye Corvette Club, the Eagles and St. Anthony Golf League. He loved being at his winter home in The Villages, Florida where he learned to play golf. Dick enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, meeting friends for lunch and dinner, building things for his family and cruising in his 57 Chevy and 2019 Corvette (Ruby) with his wife Faith. He was the best carpenter and could build anything from scratch. He was the most gentle, kindhearted, and generous man. Dick gave big strong hugs, gave the best advice, and loved his family unconditionally.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Friday, January 22, 2021 at St. Anthony/All Saints Parish with Father Thomas Kraszewski and Father Thomas G. Bishop officiating.. Live stream can be viewed on St. Anthony/All Saints Parish Facebook page. Private cemetery services at Calvary for family and close friends will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Anthony/All Saints Parish, Aultman Hospital, American Heart Association, Autism Speaks and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Please sign the guest book.
