Rebecca "Becky" Thomas

Rebecca Thomas, “Becky”, age 64, of North Canton went home to be with the Lord on May 25, 2022. She was born on April 13, 1958, in Akron, Ohio to Michael and Ruthtina (Bennett) Nehrebecky. Following high school graduation, Becky began her career running a cleaning business. She had been a dedicated member of River of Life Church for over 10 years, recently serving as the Assistant Pastor. At the church she was also the Director of the Food Pantry where she helped feed countless families. Never one to turn down an opportunity to volunteer, she was active with the Chapparells Baton and Drum Corps in Akron where several grandchildren participated. Becky was proud of her 5 children and 9 grandchildren and all that they have accomplished.

She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings Duane, Queenette, and Arden. She is survived by her children Jenifer Thomas, Ric (Emily) Thomas, Rachel Thomas, Jeff (Casi Angle) Thomas, and Curtis (Prisca Knori) Thomas; grandchildren Shealyn, Chase, Bryce, Ellie, Amyah, Kyah, Aliyah, Jeffrey, and Kane.

Visitation will be held June 2, 2022, from 6 - 6:30 PM in the River of Life Church 3281 State Street NW. N. Canton, Ohio 44720. Memorial services will be held in the church at 6:30 PM with Pastor Mike Tanksley officiating. Donations may be made to the River of Life Church Food Pantry.
