Melvin McClung Obituary

Melvin McClung, age 75, of Canton, passed away on Wednesday December 30, 2020. He was born in Orient Hill, West Virginia on December 3, 1945 to the late Walter and Zella (Evans) McClung. He served in the Army during the Vietnam Era and married Sue Jackson in 1966. Mel was a 1964 graduate of Lake High School and retired from Teledyne Monarch Rubber Company. He was an avid fisherman and was his grandchildren’s number one fan in their sports and activities.

He is survived by his wife Sue; children Steve (Tammy) McClung, Scott (Beth) McClung, Missy Zucal; grandchildren Remington McClung, Breanna, Meghann and Abbey McClung, and Skylar Zucal; and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by infant brother Hansford and brother Arlie McClung.

Following Melvin’s wishes a formal service is not scheduled and notes can be written at the funeral home website.
