May Nichols

May Nichols, age 86, of Hartville went home to be with the Lord on January 1, 2021. She was born on July 11, 1934 in Harmony, West Virginia to the late Willis and Stella (Aikens) Reed. She met and then married Robert L. Nichols August 2, 1958. May worked for Teledyne Monarch Rubber Company in the offices. She was a member of Hartville Church of God where she taught Sunday School and always was giving and helping others. May loved quilting, cooking and baking, and decorating cakes. She loved her family especially each and every grandchild.  

She is survived by her husband Robert; children Dianne Sparren, Lovell “Jr.” (Debbie) Jones, Tim (Pam) Nichols; grandchildren Angie (Jay) Puckett, Nick (Juanita) Sparren, Nicole (Stephen) Parr, Jeremy Jones, Felisha Jones; great-grandchildren Kylee Puckett, Kinslee Puckett, Anthony Kirby, Riley Sparren, Ryah Sparren, Joy Parr, Brooklynn Nofsinger, Korie Parr; and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her 3 brothers Sy, Orville “Dick” and David Reed; and 2 sisters Myrtle Reed and Mary Dunkin. 

Calling hours (a walk through viewing) are Tuesday January 12th 10 AM-12 noon at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. If attending, please social distance and there is no family receiving line. Graveside services follow the calling hours at Mount Peace Cemetery conducted by George Martin. Then following the graveside committal, a memorial service for her family will begin at 12:30 in her church, The Hartville Church of God with Pastor Neil Davis officiating.
