Marcia Thomas Obituary

Marcia Pearce Thomas, age 91, of Green, Ohio passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021. She was born on November 8, 1929, in Canton, Ohio to Clay and Jean (Lennon) Pearce and graduated from Canton Lehman High School class of 1947 and attended Sullins College in Bristol, VA. She returned to Canton before marrying her late husband, John C. Thomas. Marcia then spent over two decades moving around the country with her husband due to his career as a United States Marine Corps officer. She then moved back to Canton, where John retired from the Marines before being a GlenOak High School principal. Marcia enjoyed gardening and was a passionate QVC Shopper.

Marcia is preceded in death by her husband, John C. Thomas and siblings Beverly (Richard) Weckel and Jack (Ann) Pearce. She is survived by children Susan Thomas of Arlington, VA, Jack (Jill) Thomas of North Hollywood, CA, and Irish (Matthew) Kuwatch of Green, Ohio; grandchildren Carter, Ethan, Riley, and Audrey.

Cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held in April at North Lawn Cemetery in Canton.
