Lori J. (Camp) Clark, lifelong resident of Canton, Ohio passed away with her family and friends by her side at age 65 on Saturday, July 3, 2021. Daughter of Ted and Shirley (Zinninger) Camp, and a graduate of Glenwood High School (‘74). A graduate of Malone University (BA ‘78), Lori educated elementary scholars for 30 years in Plain Local Schools and earned accolades for her service in education including the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation Scholar Award. She loved her church and was a leader of women’s ministries for many years; she was rarely seen without a group of friends by her side, who she loved like family.
She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 45 years, Kim Clark, two children Aaron Clark, Amanda (Clark) Tanruther (Steve Tanruther), her sister Cheri (Camp) McIlvaine (Rob McIlvaine), and her siblings-in-law Craig Clark, Darlynn Clark, Kay (Clark) Christopoulos (Christopher Christopoulos), and Shelly Clark and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces/nephews. She was the loving "Gigi" of her grandchild Theodore Tanruther. The family expresses their gratitude to the Justin T. Rogers Hospice Facility for her end of life care.
A celebration of her life will be held at First Christian Church at 6900 Market Ave. Canton, OH 44721 on Friday, July 9 at 11:00 with calling hours on Thursday, July 8 from 3-5 and 6:30-8:30 and Friday, July 9 10:00-11:00. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
