Leroy H. Coblentz, age 84, of Senecaville, formerly of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday January 5, 2022. He was born on November 16, 1937 to the late Henry A. and Barbara (Shrock) Coblentz. His joy of masonry started at the age of 14 and continued until his retirement from his construction business. He was well known for bursting out in song that nobody could ever guess the words to, random jokes never heard before and “that Laugh.” He loved spending time with his family especially grandchildren.
He is survived by his children Wilma (Timothy) Christner, Andrew (Melinda) Coblentz, Sadie Grable, Sylvia (Rance) Wallace, Mark (Linda) Coblentz, Gregory (Rose) Anderson- Coblentz, Gabriel (Shannon) Coblentz; over 100 grandchildren and great-grandchildren with several on the way; siblings Barbara Lumley, Emma Yoder, Ada (Henry) Coblentz; siblings-in-law “Bert” Ada Coblentz, Chris Coblentz and Rose Coblentz; forever family members Cindy Joncox-Coblentz, Aaron and Cheryl Zimmerman, Jerry and Marlene Miley; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by siblings Albert Coblentz, Sarah Coblentz, Edna Hershberger, Henry “Sonny” Coblentz, Elmer Coblentz; and siblings-in-law Mary Hershberger-Coblentz, Jonas Hershberger, Harvey Yoder, Marshall Perry, William “Bill” Morris, Ernest Lumley and Amanda Coblentz; and wife Fannie Mae Miller-Coblentz-Collen.
Calling hours are Wednesday 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM at Hartville Conservative Mennonite Church and services begin at 1:00 PM in the church with Pastor David Gingerich officiating. Final resting place is Oak Grove Amish Cemetery.
