Larry E. Linerode, age 74, of Canton, went home to be with Jesus on Friday June 17, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Canton on February 20, 1948 to the late Emerson and Vesta (Baird) Linerode. A 1966 graduate of McKinley High School, he married his high school sweetheart Sue Frutschy on August 18, 1967. Larry retired as a distributor for Thomas English Muffins after 18 years of service. He was an active member of First Church of the Resurrection where he volunteered with their food pantry and Habitat for Humanity. Larry was a man of great discipline and humor. He cared deeply for those close to him. Always a child at heart, he thoroughly enjoyed playing with his grandkids and great grandkids. It was not often Larry was without a camera in his hands capturing a variety of special moments.
Survived by his wife of 54 years Sue; sons Todd (Denise) and Brian (Carrie); 6 grandchildren Brad (Melissa), Ben (Camille), Sarah (Ryan) Brittany (Tyler), Jon and Michael; 4 great-grandchildren Lilly, Matthew, Ezra, Ryan; sister Wanda Strott; and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents and sister Shirley (Scott) Eubank and brother-in-law John Strott.
Calling hours are Tuesday June 28th 5-8 PM at Arnold Funeral Home, 1517 Market Ave N, and one hour prior to services (10-11 AM Wednesday) Services are Wednesday June 29th 11 AM in the funeral home with Rev. Dr. JR Rozko officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice or Habitat for Humanity.
