John Henry Yoder, age 69, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday May 1, 2021. He was born at home in Uniontown, Ohio on April 6, 1952 to the late Wallace and Ida (Zook) Yoder. He went to church with Alice “Arlene” Lapp and they married on her 19th birthday July 24, 1971. John retired from Johnston’s Supply in 2018 after 40 years of service. He was a member of The Chapel of Marlboro where he served as a deacon. He enjoyed golf, fishing and hunting. Most of all, he enjoyed his family.
Survived by his wife Arlene; children Nathan (fiancée Martha Yoder) Yoder, Norma (Scott) Schreffler, Regina (Mark) Coblentz; grandchildren Shane and Serena Yoder, Jacob, Olivia and Caleb Coblentz; Jayden Schreffler; siblings Mary Ellen Wagler, Ervin Yoder, Elmer (Edna) Yoder, Martha (Alfred) Gingerich, Vernon (Mary Margaret) Yoder; and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by brothers Leroy and Alvin.
Calling hours are Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Evermore Community Church. Funeral services are Thursday 10 AM at Evermore Community Church with Pastor Joel Cochran officiating. Final resting place is Walnut Grove Cemetery.
The funeral will be live streamed on the church facebook and website for convenience of those to watch at home.
