Joey W. Henderson

Joey W. Henderson, age 68, of North Canton, passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2023. He was born August 25, 1954, in East Liverpool Ohio to the late Ralph and Barbara (Webb) Henderson. Joey graduated from East Liverpool High School, where he played both football and baseball. He continued his baseball career at Mt. Union College, where he earned First Team All American Honors, two seasons in a row, as an outfielder. Joey earned his CPA designation and spent the majority of his career in the public accounting field, most recently as audit partner at 415 Group. He was passionate about his work, however, faith and family were everything to him. He was known to work all hours of the evening during busy season to make sure he never missed his children’s and grandchildren’s games, activities, and lives. His quiet Christ like light shown through all his relationships and interactions, leading by example for his wife and children. As he entered his early years of retirement, he was excited to spend more time with the love of his life, third grade crush, wife of 46 years. Getting to be ever present in all his children’s milestones, while cherishing the role of loving Pappap and he was looking forward to meeting his 10th grandchild. He will be dearly missed by so many but especially his family.

He is survived by his wife, Marian; children Erin (Bryan) Dixon, Katie (Joe) Curry, Dan (Kayla) Henderson, and Julie (fiancée Stephen) Henderson; grandchildren Tyler, Paige, Parker, Ryan, Molly, Casey, Reagan, Connor, Chase, and soon to be born “Baby Girl” Henderson; sisters Laury (Tim) Lynch and Robin (Bob) Theiss; brothers Fred (Vicki) Henderson and Bill (Donna) Henderson.

Calling hours will be Monday, January 16, 2023 from 4-7 PM at the Arnold Funeral Home at 1517 Market Ave N. Funeral services will be January 17 at Jackson Friends Church at 10:30 am, final resting place is North Lawn Cemetery.
