Joe Guillod Obituary

Joe Z Guillod, age 98, of Canton, passed away on Saturday December 19, 2020 at Canton Christian Home where he recently resided. He was born in Canton on June 21, 1922 to the late Carl and Zella (Gordon) Guillod and graduated from McKinley High School in 1940. He served in the Navy as a Corpsman with the Marines at Iwo Jima during WW II. Joe was the owner of Joe Guillod’s Grocery, and a member of First Church of the Resurrection, Canton Men’s Swiss Benefit Society and Lathrop Lodge No. 676 F. & A.M.

Preceded in death by wife Lucy; brother Paul and sister Lucile Huckels. He is survived by children Bonnie (David) Madge, Jill (Frank) Ryder, Mark (Alan Miller) Guillod, Craig (Connie) Guillod; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

On Saturday September 4th, there will be calling hours 10:30-11:30 AM and a memorial service beginning at 11:30 AM all at the First Church of the Resurrection, 901 Tuscarawas St. East
