Jerome Graber Obituary

Jerome “Whitey” Graber, age 79, of Hartville, passed peacefully at his home on November 2, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vickie and sister, Mary Overholt. Whitey is survived by children, Daniel J. (Sherry) Graber of Jasper, TN, William D. Graber of Hueytown, AL, Samantha (Anthony) Vitarella, Jeremy Wood, Rudy (Savannah) Costello, and David (Kyleigh) Graber all of Hartville; Grandchildren, Emma, Rebecca, Faith, Ryleigh, Matthew, Dolan, Samuel, Lucas, Kevin, Rudy, and Devin; sister, Martha (Graber) Lapp.

Growing up in Pinecraft, FL and Hartville, OH, he was well known in the local community. He owned and operated Hartville Excavating, formerly known as Jonas Graber and Sons Excavating. He was a member of Community Baptist Temple in Akron, OH. Whitey was loved by many and known for his hard work, integrity, sense of humor, and humility. He is home with the Lord and his work on earth is done.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Maple Grove Mennonite Church 2121 Smith Kramer St NE, Hartville with Rev. Mark O'Donnell officiating. Family and Friends may call 11:00-2:00 in the church. Interment will be private for the family in Oak Grove Cemetery.
