Jean Ann Koons

Jean Ann Koons, age 86, of Canton, passed away Wednesday morning, August 11, 2021, in the Sanctuary Grande in North Canton. She was born November 28, 1934 in Canton to Edwin and Eleanor (Menart) McCain and was a life member of Canton.

Jean owned the Sportique store in North Canton and was a dedicated member of Christ Presbyterial Church. She was a 1952 graduate of Lehman High School, attended Carnegie Tech in Pittsburgh and Ohio State University. She had been a member of Congress Lake Club, Canton Jr. League and the Canton Women’s Club.

Mrs. Koons was preceded in death by her husband, Richard in 2019. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Jenny (Steve) Morrow of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Lisa (Bob) Coughlin of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Marsha (Bryn) Irvine of Bay Village, Ohio; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas (Carolyn) McCain of Canton; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be Saturday August 28, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Hills Burial Park with Rev Michael Wallace officiating.

Memorial donations are requested to Camp Wakonda or Christ Presbyterian Church, 530 West Tuscarawas St, Canton, Ohio 44702.
