Geraldine Branz Obituary

Geraldine “Gerry” Branz, age 90, of House of Loreto, formerly of Hartville, passed away on Christmas December 25, 2020 due to COVID. She was born in Beloit, Wisconsin on April 11, 1930 to the late John and Mary (Digiacomo) Lamendola. She worked at Freeman Shoe Company, met and married Delbert Branz (they met at Beloit Country Club where Delbert was the manager), and the family moved to Ohio in 1973. She was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, and worked for Higbee’s and Pastore’s Dry Cleaners.     

Preceded in death by husband Delbert; baby sister Santina; sister Madeline (Donald) Shultz; and brother Angelo (Amelita) Lamendola; siblings-in-law Virginia Remington, Peter and Stephen Branz. 

She is survived by her children Mary Jo (Joel Rube) Lockshin, Margaret “Peggy” (Michael) Adelman, John (Cheryl) Branz, and Robby (Tara) Branz; grandchildren Samuel, Jane, Paul and Madeline Lockshin (and their father David Lockshin), Neal (Lindsey) Dingies (and his father Scott Dingies), John Michael (Jaki) and Aaron (Taylor) Branz, Ava and Jonah Branz; great-grandson Ethan Branz; sister-in-law Donna Branz; nieces and nephews Gloria Zillmer, Diane, Debra and Denise Remington, Stephen, Michael and Jennifer Branz. 

Calling hours are Tuesday 10-11:00 AM and funeral services at 11:00 AM at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville officiated by Father Nicholas Mancini. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to House of Loreto.
