A Graveside committal service of cremains will be held Saturday June 11, 2022 at 2 PM with Pastor Phil Hoverstock from Randolph United Methodist Church officiating.
Edna M. Weil, 100, passed away on Wednesday February 24, 2021. She was born in New Baltimore, OH, on September 9th, 1920, to Nina Fox Powell and Roy H. Powell. She graduated from Marlboro High School in 1937 and Kent State University in 1941 with a degree in business education, having taught at Louisville High School as well as Beach City.
She and her husband, the late Harold L. Weil, loved to travel in their small motor home. He died on his 92nd birthday after 67 years of marriage.
Edna was a collector of stamps and small bells and also loved gardening. They were members of the New Baltimore Community Church and attended Randolph United Methodist Church more recently.
She is survived by her daughter, LInda McClain of Montross, VA; two grandsons Cory (Jennifer) McClain of Tappahannock, VA., Colin McClain of San Clemente, CA.; and two great grandchildren, Nathan and Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her sister, Berdine Folk, and her parents.
