Dorothy M. Jones

Dorothy M. Jones, age 84, of Canton, passed away May 7, 2020 at Bethany Nursing Home. She was born August 25, 1935 in Barnesville, Ohio to William and Elvira (Carpenter) Newhart. Following graduation from Barnesville High School she spent time as a waitress, an STNA, and ultimately was in the home helping to raise her family. Dorothy loved to play BINGO, cards, and crochet. She especially loved being with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; past husbands Dale, Thomas, and Charles; daughter Mary; and sister Mary Lois. She is survived by her children Kathy, Timothy, Ronald (Marsha), and Thomas; stepson Jamie; sister Norma Jean; multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held Tuesday May 12, at the Arnold & Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Kull officiating. A live video stream of the service will be available to watch at the Arnold Funeral Home Facebook page beginning at 3 PM.
