Obituary

Donna R. Cox, age 95 of Canton died Monday afternoon, May 8, 2023, in her home with her daughters by her side. She was born October 14, 1927, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Edward and Lydia (Lang) Ruschli. She graduated from Jefferson High School, attended Canterbury College and Purdue University. Donna worked at O’Neils, The Mole Hole and the OGCA. She was a “swimmer mom” for her girls at Burrshire, YWCA, YMCA, Glenwood and GlenOak swim meets. She loved the beach, rides in the car, garage sales and casino slot machines. Donna enjoyed exercise class and having coffee with the ladies and walking on the track at Aultman North.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Peter Cox in 2010 and son-in-law Ronald Dunlap in 2022. She is survived by daughters, Lydia (Greg) Vaughan, Catherine Dunlap, Donna (Henry) Rockwell, Deborah (Wes) Stitt; grandchildren, Aaron (Phoebe) Jorstad, Chelsea (Mark) Kimble, Sara Rockwell, Brenna Rockwell Corey Dunlap, Peter Dunlap and 8 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 13, 1-3:00 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home, 1517 Market Ave N., Canton. The final resting place will be North Lawn Cemetery.
