Dolores J. Adamczyk

Dolores “Dory” Jean Adamczyk, age 92, of Hartville, passed away surrounded by her family on August 19, 2021. Dolores “Dory” was born in New Castle, PA, on February 14, 1929, a daughter of the late John and Mary Walko. Dolores graduated in 1947 from New Castle High School. She met the love of her life, John Adamczyk, at a dance in New Castle in 1949 and they were married May 5, 1951. Dory, John, and their six children moved to Hartville, Ohio where they resided since 1966. Until her retirement, Dory was employed by Lake Local Schools in Hartville as a cook where she was known affectionately by the students as “Ma czyk”. Dory was a devout Catholic and member of Little Flower Catholic Church in North Canton, OH for 55 years. Dory was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed working at the school, volunteering at the church, cooking, canning, baking, and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, John, in 1999 and brother, John Walko, in 2020. She will be deeply missed by her children, Michael (Kathie) Adamczyk of Woodstock, GA; John Adamczyk of Hartville, OH; William (Kim) Adamczyk of North Canton, OH; Christine (Ravinder) Singh of Hartville, OH; James (Judy) Adamczyk of Uniontown, OH; and Samuel (Deanna) Adamczyk of Highland, MD. Grandchildren Erica (Matthew), Alexander, Nelson (Kiana), Ethan, Lindsey, Austin, and Ian. Three great grandchildren, Uriah, Blake, and Lucas.
