Diane Knippenberg, age 78, of Hartville, passed away Tuesday July 28, 2020 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada on March 28, 1942 to the late Michael and Anna (Raddish) Eremich. While she was raising her children, she also worked for Lake Local Schools highly participating with the wrestling program and can fondly be remembered as “Mrs. K” on the playground. Diane’s favorite past times were spending time with her family, line dancing, in fact any kind of dancing (which brought her together with her husband Brad Ice), Elvis Presley enthusiast, cooking especially her Serbian Family food, and sitting on the beach feeling the waves. She was Mam-Maw to everyone.
She is survived by her husband Brad Ice; children D. Eric Knippenberg, Kim (Tim) Span; grandchildren Brittany (finacee Joseph) Span, Raquel (Daniel) Haralambou, James (fiance Brittany) Knippenberg, Timmy II Span; great-grandchildren Maleigha Jo; many “adopted” grandchildren; brother Evon (Dottie) Eremich; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by parents, brothers Victor, Steve and James; and sister Danica Eremich.
Calling hours are Friday 4-7 PM at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville and an hour prior to services Saturday (10-11). Funeral services are Saturday 11 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Robert Webb officiating. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery.
