Caroline A (Garaux) Snyder

Caroline A. Snyder, nee Garaux, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2022. She was born on April 10, 1927, to George and Ida (Mulheim) Garaux. Caroline graduated from McKinley High School in 1945. She worked at Garaux Brothers until she married Gordon Snyder. Together they provided a wonderful life for their children. Caroline thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her children, nieces and nephews and later with her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking especially at Thanksgiving and Christmas. She worked as a real estate agent for Wanda Keyser. Caroline and Gordon planned many adventurous vacations over the years for their family.

Caroline was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Snyder in 1996; sisters, Erma, Esther, and Ruth; brothers, Homer, Merle, George and Elmer. She is survived by her children Deborah Snyder, Eric (Barbara) Snyder and Scott Snyder; grandchildren, Jamie, Bailey, Derek (Michelle), Brittany (Corey) McLaughlin, Kaitlin (Justin) Brown, Sabrina and Garret; she was also blessed with great grandchildren, Emma, Chase, Reid, Peyton, Riley and Delaney; also surviving is her brother, Jon (Linda) Garaux and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, May 11, 2022, in the Arnold & Spiker-Foster-Shriver 4817 Cleveland Ave. NW, with Pastor Nick Nicholson officiating. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call 5-7pm Tuesday in the funeral home.
