Betty Jane Rundquist, age 92 of Hartville, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014, in her residence. She was born June 18, 1921 in Hartville to Carl and Wilda (Swartz) Royer. She graduated from Hartville High School in 1939. Betty operated the Franklin School of Dance in Kent from 1985 to 2000. She acted and sang at the Canton Players Guild, was an avid card player, loved golf, skiing and swimming. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Roy H. Rundquist in 2001. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law. Chi Chi and Gary Ward of Hartville; sons and daughter-in-law, Terry and Charlene Rundquist of North Canton, Ted Rundquist of Hartville; grandchildren, Brittany and Scott Ward of Rootstown, Charles and Phil Rundquist of Canton, Roy, Carol and Eric Rundquist of Portsmouth and five great grandchildren, Cameron, Austin, Matt, Marissa and Isaac. A memorial service will be held Thursday 4:00 p.m. at the Chapel in Marlboro with Pastor Joel Cochran officiating followed by a meal and fellowship time at the church.
