Barbara Maloy

Barbara Maloy, age 79, of Uniontown, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021, in her home. She was born February 12, 1942, in Akron to Edward and Regenia (Radcliff) Bradley. Barbara was a 1960 Ellet High School graduate and worked as a bookkeeper for Wooster Sheet Metal Company before raising her family.

Mrs. Maloy served on the woman’s board and volunteered for St. Thomas Hospital in Akron. While wintering in Jupiter,Florida with her husband she volunteered at the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, Loggerhead Marinelife Center and the Jupiter Theatre. She was a former member of Congress Lake Club and had many fond memories of those years. 

Barb was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Willard “Bill” Maloy in 2015 and son-in-law Aaron Olis in 2016. She is survived by children, Jill (Joe) Lancaster, Jan Olis, Gina (John) Miller, Michael Shorder, Scott Maloy; step-children, Mike (Robin) Maloy, Tim (Carrie) Maloy, Dan (Jamie) Maloy; sisters, Judy (Ronnie) Dean, Jean Ellen (Eric) McMichael; brother, Jerry (Zora) Bradley; 20 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and her beloved dog, Riley.

Following cremation, calling hours will be Thursday 4-6:00 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville. A memorial service will begin at 6:00p.m. with her son-in-law John Miller officiating. Private family interment will be in Henry Warstler Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are requested to be made to the Stark County Library or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
