Ashleigh Morgan Watterson, age 31, of Greentown, Ohio passed away peacefully Friday, surrounded by her parents, brother, and Father James Clarke.
Ashleigh was born on January 19, 1992, in Canton, Ohio. She attended Greentown Elementary School. Ashleigh had a love of music, dancing and would talk to anyone, anytime. Her teachers called her a “social butterfly.”
In 2001 at 9 years old, Ashleigh contracted viral encephalitis/seizure disorder, which she lived with for 22 years. Even though the illness left Ashleigh unable to walk, talk or care for herself, you could still see her very special personality in her eyes. It was that and her infectious smile that touched the hearts of countless caregivers, timeless prayer group, family, friends, and a very special teacher, Miss Jeanette.
Ashleigh is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandfathers, Albert Copple and Terry Watterson, Jr., and Kitty, Snickers.
Ashleigh is survived by her loving parents, Marc and Kim Watterson; brother, Austin; grandparents, Marshall and Pat Green, Nolan and Donna Jarvis; aunts and uncles, Jeff and Kim Harsh; Barry and Sueann Copple, Bob and Debble Copple and Missy Evanich; cousins, Terra and Tommy Stenger, Danielle, Heather, Emma, and Robbie Copple; and an extended group of family and friends, and of course, her Kitty cats, Chloe’, Tango and Jax. A huge heartfelt thank you to everyone for their constant support and comfort during the last 22 years, we truly appreciate you.
