Anthony “Tony” Vitarella, age 42, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. He was born in Akron on September 2, 1980. He resided in Hartville and worked at Hartville Hardware.
He is survived by his wife Samantha; children Faith, Samuel and Lucas; mother Karen (James) Beck; grandparents Robert and Mildred Ebie; sister Angela (Jon) Moreau; aunts and uncles; and many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by father Nicholas Vitarella and baby boy, Noah.
During his short time here on earth, his gentle and kind demeanor was appreciated by all those around him. His quiet spirit often made for the best laughs when he let his quick wit and sense of humor come out of nowhere. He used his life as a testimony of humility, service and ministry to people he encountered daily whether at work or out and about. He loved attending church with his family and enjoyed many ways of serving over the years. He was very mechanically inclined and loved to figure out how to fix just about anything from vehicles to one of his kid’s broken toys. He wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty or work hard. He was a lover of nature and loved to be active outdoors from gardening to hiking a trail to playing catch. He was an amazing cook - specializing in making his own sauces and recipes. He loved his family and was an incredible example of a servant leader in his home. He was a friend to anyone who needed one. He will be deeply missed.
Calling hours are Tuesday 5-7 PM at Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville. Funeral services are Wednesday 11 AM at Cleveland Baptist Church, 4431 Tiedeman Rd., Brooklyn, OH. Calling hours are in the church one hour prior to services (10-11). Burial at Rest Land Cemetery in Brimfield.
