Zelda Smith, age 98, formerly of Canton, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010 in Destin, Florida. Born in Canton to the late Arthur and Dora (Schweisberger) Snyder, Zelda was a graduate of McKinley High School and Canton Business College. In addition to her parents, Zelda was preceded in death by her husband Weldon Smith. Survivors include a daughter Suzanne (James) Kirschten of Destin, Florida and a son Judson (Anita) Smith of Shaker Heights, Ohio. Three grandchildren; Tara (Derek) Fleck, Ryan Smith, and Lisa Kirschten, four step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Wilbur Snyder of Melbourne, Florida and Graydon Snyder of Powell, Ohio. A private funeral service was held for the family with interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society in her name 525 North Broad St. Canfield, OH 44406 or a charity of your choice.
