Winfred Moss, age 90, of Uniontown, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 in Pebble Creek Nursing Home. Winfred was born June 9, 1926 in Hendersonville, North Carolina to Palmer "Doc" and Lela (Rhodes) Moss. Mr. Moss was a WW II Army Veteran and retired from Firestone Rubber Company where he was a tire builder for 42 years. He was a member of The Chapel in Marlboro where he taught Sunday School and had also taught Sunday School at Arlington Baptist Church and Hope United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law Robert and Karen Moss of Uniontown; grandson Curtis (Jennifer) Moss; sister-in-law Florence Crawford of Tallmadge; Nieces, nephews and his faithful companion, his Dalmatian dog Ariel.

He was preceded in death by his wife Norma Jean Moss in 1986; sisters Lois Moss, Lillian Fish, Alma Merrell and Agnes Freeman; brothers Ronald, Eieland, and Wytt.

Calling Hours will be Wednesday evening 6-8:00 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville. Funeral Services will be Thursday 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Cochran officiating. Interment will be in Green Lawn Cemetery in Akron.
