Obituary

Wilson D. Clark, age 85, of Canton died Thursday morning in Aultman Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Fairmount, IN to the late John W. & Ethel (Wilson) Clark, Wil was a 1939 graduate of East Canton High School and was a Marine Veteran of WW II. Wil was semi-retired from New York Life Insurance Company. He was a long time and faithful member of First Christian Church where he had served as an Elder and was active in the choir. He was also a member of the Hall of Fame Luncheon Club, National Assoc of Underwriters, Member and Past President of Canton Life Underwriters, Member of Million Dollar Round Table, 60 year member of Sponseller Grange, County Square Dance Council, and Missionary Society. Wil was also noted for always volunteering and helping others, was an avid lover of all sports and county and state fairs. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Joyce and a brother Charles Clark. He is survived by three daughters: Darlynn Clark, & Shelly Jordan both of Canton, Mrs. Chris (Kay) Christopoulos of Columbus. Two sons: Kim (Lori) Clark of Canton and Craig Clark of Sunbury, OH Eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Sister: Donna Jean Ramsey of Steubenville, OH. A funeral service celebrating Wil's life will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 13, 2007 in First Christian Church 6900 Market Avenue N. with Pastor Manley C. Pierce officiating. Entombment will be in the North Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. in the Church and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Maintenance Building Fund of First Christian Church.
