Wilma lee Wahl was the epitome of someone who wouldn't quit. She fought lung cancer for seven years. At the time, she was told she had a very small chance to make it five years. She fought with great courage and lived seven years. She was born Wilma Lee Lavigna in 1947 to parents Wilma B. Lavigna and Dr. Daniel M. Lavigna Sr.

She passed on to the next Journey following life on earth on July 24, 2024.

Wilma Lee is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 53 years David H. Wahl, Son David R. Wahl (Kari), Grandchildren Jacob and Shannon Wahl, Siblings Marie Harlan, Dr. William Lavigna, and Robert (Barbara), Nieces Catherine Lavigna, Laura (Dr. Eric) Sieves, Cara: Lavigna, Daneen (Matt) Wilson, Taylor Lavigna and Robin (Nick) Tomkins, Nephews Daniel Lavigna lll (Catherine), Jack Harlan Jr. (Denise) and Michael Harlan (Bethanne), First Cousins Dr. Ron Lavigna, Micheal Lavigna, Nancy Totarella, (Dennis), Lynn Palumbo, Dr. Richard Lavigna, Christine Poggianti, Michael Ramsey, Michael Lee Ramsey, Debbie Lappat, Dennis Ramsey and Barbara Ramsey.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents Wilma B. and Dr. Daniel Lavigna Sr, her brother Daniel Lavigna Jr. (Patricia) and Uncles William Lavigna (Angela), Frank Lavigna, Dr. Micheal P. Lavigna Sr, and Roy Poggianti (Dorothy), Aunt Lee Ramsey.

Wilma grew up in Cleveland Heights, graduated from Heights High School, and attended OSU. She worked professionally as a dental assistant for her father and brother, before moving to Hartville, where she worked for many years as a mental health associate.

A celebration of life for friends and family to be held on Friday August 2, 2024.  It will be at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 2952 Edison St NW, Uniontown Ohio 44685. The time will be 10:30am-calling hours, 11:30am service.
