Wilma J. Broemsen, age 80, of Hartville, passed away Thursday March 19, 2009. She was born at home on a farm in Marlboro Township, Ohio on November 2, 1928 to the late Dwight and Rebecca (Immel) Eshelman and graduated from Marlboro High School. Wilma retired as head cook from the Lake Local Schools in 1988. She was a lifetime member of Werner United Methodist Church where she was very active in the church serving on numerous committees including United Methodist Women, Sunday School Teacher and Youth Fellowship Leader. She enjoyed her flower garden, baking and playing cards with family and friends. Preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Robert Broemsen in September 2008, brothers Clyde, Raymond and Robert Eshelman, brothers-in-law and sister-in-law Gary Werstler, Ralph Broemsen, Elden and Irma Broemsen and Sam Pumneo; she is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law David and Patti of Hartville, Tim and Linda of North Canton, Doug and Trish of Medina; grandchildren Denise, Katie (Jamie McCleaster) and Rachel; sister Hazel Werstler; sisters-in-law Ethel Eshelman, Beryl Eshelman, Elnora Pumneo; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Howard and Ellie Broemsen; extra special friend Holly Smith of Hartville; and other relatives and friends. Calling hours are Sunday 6-8 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Funeral services are Monday 11 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Jeri Johnson officiating.
