William R. Saunier, Sr., age 87, of Canton, passed away Sunday morning in Aultman Hospital. Born in Canton to the late Peter and Barbara (Bauer) Saunier. William had attended McKinley High School and was an Army Veteran of WW II. He was retired from LTV Steel. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his wife; Catherine and a brother; George Saunier. Survivors include his children; Linda Eckroate, Patricia (Dan) Lanser and William (Betty) Saunier, Jr., five grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, sisters; Ida, Ora and Barbara. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be Tuesday evening 8:00 P.M .in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. with Rev. Scott Tursley and Dan Lanser officiating. Interment will be private for the family. Friends may call from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday.
