William "Bill" S. Aston III, 70, of Canton, passed away on October 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving wife and daughter. He was born on July 20, 1954, in Youngstown, Ohio, to the late William S. and Josephine (Weber) Aston, Jr.

Bill was a 1972 graduate of Girard High School and a graduate of Youngstown State University where he received his associate's degree in mechanical engineering.

Bill worked for Goodyear as a technical engineer and retired after 20+ years of service.

He was a longtime, active member of First Christian Church in Canton.

Bill enjoyed watching NASCAR, baseball, and football which he often did with his daughter, Jenni.

Bill was also a self-taught handyman, able to fix almost anything, whether it was mechanics or home projects.

In his younger years, Bill loved to hunt and ride motorcycles with his Mom and Dad.

One of his greatest qualities was that he was always willing to lend a helping hand to neighbors, friends, or even complete strangers.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Nancie (Thompson) Aston; his daughter Jennifer (Ronnie) Husk; grandsons Parker and Silas Husk; sisters Cindy (Dale) Patterson and Judy Baer; as well as 3 nieces, 2 nephews and their families who lovingly called him "Butch".

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 23rd from 4-6 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home, 1517 Market Ave. N, Canton, Ohio 44714.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with calling hours beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Burial will follow at North Lawn Cemetery.
