William Roy McLeod, age 92, of Atwater, passed on Sunday February 23, 2020 in the comfort of his home. He was born on October 26, 1927 in Botzum, Ohio to the late Norman and Ella (McCauley) McLeod. He graduated from Atwater High School, an outstanding high school athlete, and was a Navy Veteran. He met his wife, Jacqueline Joseph, in Ontario, Canada, they married June 26, 1952 and raised their family in Atwater. His career started at Morgan Engineering in Alliance and he retired from Babcock and Wilcox in Barberton as a Transportation Engineer. He was an outdoorsman who later in life took up golf and made great friends.

Preceded in death by his son Scott McLeod on January 30, 2020 as well as 4 brothers and a sister he is survived by wife of 67 years Jackie; daughters Jennifer (David) Cain, Colleen (Joe) Beasley; daughter-in-law Sandra McLeod; grandchildren Grant McLeod, Kayla McLeod, Erin (Ron) Truman, Daniel Cain, Angela (Javier) Suarez, Molly (John) Curtiss, Andrew (Morgan) Beasley,   , 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 7th at 4 PM at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1200 S. Union Ave., Alliance, 44601. There will be a gathering in the undercroft of the church immediately following the memorial. Memorials may be made to the church or Crossroads Hospice in Green.
