William H. Myers, age 94 died Monday, May 26, 2008 in Altercare of Wadsworth after an extended illness. Born in Canton , Mr. Myers had been a purchasing agent for A. G. Stafford for 40 years. Bill was a charter member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church , Canton , OH where he served 6 years on church council as Chairman of Parish Education and Christian Service Committees. He also taught Sunday school for several years. He was the organizer and first president of the Good Shepherd Men's Brotherhood and also served as 1 st Vice President of the Ohio District Brotherhood. He was president of the southern area of the Lutheran Service Society and president of the Stark-Carroll County Sunday School Association. Bill loved to sing and had many active years with the Canton Civic Opera and the Greater Canton Men's Chorus. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Charlotte Myers. He is survived by Sons: James E. (Arleen) of Rittman , OH , John C. (Linda) ofE. Liverpool , OH and daughter, Mrs. Robert O. (Margaret) Maurer of Friendsville, TN. Eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive him. Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 30, 2008 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church , Canton , OH with Rev. Robert P. Sander officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery .
