Obituary

William A. LePar, age 72, of North Canton, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011 with his wife and son at his bedside. Born on October 24, 1938 in Canton, Ohio to the late Nick and Mary (Greco) LePar. William graduated from Timken High School and retired from Republic Steel where he was a journeyman machinist. He was a unique man and the founder of SOL, a non-profit educational organization. He was the author of several books and lectured at universities and seminars across the country. Bill enjoyed gardening, gourmet cooking and art work. A devoted man, Bill was filled with compassion for his fellow man and always quick to help those in need. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Nancy; son Thomas of North Canton; sisters-in-law Evelyn LePar and Loretta LePar both of Louisville, and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by two brothers Vincent and Ralph LePar. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Msgr. Lewis Gaetano as celebrant. Entombment will be in North Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours are Thursday from 6-9:00 pm at the Arnold Funeral Home in Canton.
