William W. Kuhn, age 88, of Canton, went home to be with the Lord on May 20, 2017 after battling dementia for many years. William was born April 8, 1929 in Marietta, Ohio to the late Grace and William Kuhn. Bill moved to Canton at the age of 18 to start his career with Republic Steel as a crane operator, which he worked for over 45 years only leaving to serve his country in U.S. Army during the Korean War. After returning to Canton he and his loving wife, Loretta, began to raise their family. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet; sister, Mildred; brother, Carl; sister-in-law, Eileen; brother-in-law, August Rocci; and niece, Deanna Rocci. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Loretta Kuhn; son, Ronald (Krista) Kuhn; grandson, Jason (Ginger) Kuhn; great grandchildren, Maya and Taylor; brothers, Clyde, Bob and Dale; and sister, Betty. The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Aultman Hospital and a sincere thank you to the hospice staff who provided care. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Aultman Hospice and Palliative Care 2821 Woodlawn Ave. N.W., Canton, Ohio 44708. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. N.W. with Rev. Duaine Bennett officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
