January 16, 1928 – April 11, 2008
William Klingaman, age 80, of Canton, died Friday evening in Mercy Medical Center after a brief illness. A life resident of Canton, Bill was retired from General Motors Co. and was an Army Veteran. In addition to his parents: William and Alice (Staib) Klingaman he was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Jane Klingaman in 2005, a daughter: Vicky Potts in 2007, three sisters: Jean Edwards, Betty Lou Lovinsky, Donna Mae Ebey and a brother Fred Klingaman also preceded him in death. Survivors include a daughter: Mrs. John (Janie) Best of Louisville. Son: William (Tracy) Klingaman of Canton. Son-in-law: Thomas Potts of Canton. Six grandchildren: Michael, Lisa and Tommy Potts. Jonathan and Jason Best, and Allyson Klingaman. Numerous loving family members. Brother-in-law and special breakfast buddy: John and special friends: Debbie & George. The family would like to extend their special thanks to Dr. Mark Stachel and the 10th floor nursing staff of Mercy Medical Center for their compassionate care. Funeral service will be Tuesday 11:00 A.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. with Pastor Doug M. Modlin officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Perry Christian Church 139 Perry Dr. N.W. Canton, OH 44708.
