William B. "Doc" Grigor, D.V.M., age 93, of Hartville, passed away Friday night, July 3, 2015.He was born in Steubenville on December 1, 1921 to the late William and Lydia (Dutt) Grigor. He graduated from Warren Harding High School and The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine June 1944. He was a World War II Army Veteran, part of the Doctor's Draft. He met and married Wanda (Merkle) making their home Hartville. Doc founded Hartville Veterinary Clinic where he practiced for many years. He was a member of the Masons, 32nd degree, Scottish Rite, Greater Canton Men's Chorus, OVMA, AVMA, served on the Lake Local School Board, assisted with Hartville Fire Department's founding, was active with his wife at Hartville United Church of Christ and kept a great interest in family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda in 1993 and sister, Rosemarie McClure. He is survived by his children, Jane and Michael Ferrell of Nashville, Tenn., Nan and Frank Ball Jr. of Weatherford, Texas, Scott and Linda Grigor of Peterboro, N.Y., Amy and Rusty Moore of Nashville, Tenn., and Dr. Gay and Dr. Anthony Pawlowski of Orwell, Ohio; six grandchildren, Katy Ferrell, Kyle (Whitney) Ball, Ethan Ball, Jake, Wil and Merkle Moore; one great-grandson, Hudson Ball; brother, Dr. Jack and Connie Grigor of Annapolis, Md.; and other relatives and friends. Calling hours are Tuesday, 5 to 7 p.m. at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Funeral services are Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Herbert Garnes III officiating.
