William C. Gingerich, age 89, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord at his residence on May 17, 2025. He was born as one of 11 children on February 26, 1936 in Plain City, OH to the late Chris and Clara (Kramer) Gingerich and began a lifelong career as a builder. He enjoyed hunting, traveling across the United States, and woodworking. Faith was an integral part of his life and he participated in mission trips to Brazil, Guatemala and Haiti. He attended Marlboro Mennonite, Cornerstone Mennonite, and has spent the past 18 years at Bethany Mennonite Church. He had a deep love for family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of over 66 years, Martha Gingerich; daughters Monica Rankin, Tami Gingerich (Donald); 5 grandchildren Tara Fett, Halle Kurtz, Macie Jubara, Tessa Rankin and Eric Rankin; 2 great-grandchildren, Alea Bates and Naomi Kurtz; siblings Louella (Gingerich) Troyer, Sara (Gingerich) Miller, Eli Gingerich, Edwin Gingerich, Mose Gingerich, Daniel Gingerich, Mary (Gingerich) Yoder
Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 4-7 PM at Bethany Mennonite Church. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 AM in the church with Pastor Matt Zook officiating, final resting place is Walnut Grove Cemetery.
