William H. Davis, Jr., age 77 of Macedonia, Ohio passed away Thursday morning, October 5, 2017 in University Hospital in Bedford, Ohio. He was born April 22, 1940 in Akron to William H. and Edith Davis Sr. and graduated from Lake High School 1958. Mr. Davis served in the United States Marine Corp from 1958 to 1961. He worked for Teledyne Monarch for 8 years, General Tire for 14 years, Akron Recycle plant for 2 years and the Chrysler Plant in Twinsburg for 19 years, retiring in 2002.

He is survived by his dear companion of 15 years Linda South; daughters, Beverly (Jeffrey) Bennetts of North Canton, Lori Davis of North Canton, son Denny Davis of Denver, Colorado; brother Dave (Susan) Davis of Hartville;grandchildren, Jessica Merkle, Israel Merkle, Rachel Merkle, Rebekah Merkle, Tylor Bennetts. Preceded in death by a son Harold Dean and sister, Hazel Tennis.

Funeral services will be Monday 6:00 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville with Kevin O'Brien officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service 5-6:00 p.m. Following cremation, burial with Military honors will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Memorial donations may be made to the North Canton VFW.
