William A. "Bill" Miller, 84, of Hartville, passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve surrounded by his loving family. A lifelong resident of Hartville, Bill was born on July 28, 1941 to the late Henry and Martha (Mohler) Miller.
Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army where he served in Germany as a mechanic. Upon his return, he worked at Schumacher Lumber Co. of Hartville for 40+ years until their closing. It's also where he met the love of his life, Rhoda. They shared 20 loving years together before her passing.
Bill is survived by his five children, Neva Kocher, Angela Kiser, La-Rena Dougherty, Otha Loving and Porter Loving; sisters, Ruby Wagoner and Bernice Miller; grandchildren Stacy Edinger, Travis Campbell, Nicole Eaton, Huston Kiser, II., Neva Campbell, II., Terry Edinger, Alaya Kiser, Daniel Eaton, Jr., Gina Dougherty, Megan Dougherty, Christopher Loving, Otha Loving, Jr., and Luke Loving, Dylan, Ari, and J.J.; niece and nephew, Diane Kearnes and Reynold Amodio; his best friend since 1st grade, Wayne Doubledee and longtime friend Amy Martin.
In addition to his parents and wife, Bill was preceded in death by his siblings, Annabell Bitting, Mary Ballard, Dorothy Welch, Wayne Miller and his 7 years old brother, Bobbie Miller.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 2nd from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Arnold Funeral Home-Hartville. A funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home and burial will follow at Limaville Cemetery where he will be laid to rest beside his wife.
