Willard H. CLATWORTHY PhD, age 94, of Williamsville, New York, passed away Monday February 15, 2010. He was born October 16, 1915 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late John and Laura (Leek) Clatworthy. His mother passed away when he was young and he was raised by his father and step-mother John and Ora (Yates) Clatworthy. He served in the Navy and retired from the University of Buffalo. He is survived by the mother of his children Joan Mayer; daughter and son-in-law Laura and Lawrence Fudala of New York and son John Clatworthy of Utah; grandchildren Amy (Mohammad) Saleh and Tara Green; step-grandchildren James and Justin Fudala; great-grandchild Kaiya Sherman; sister and brother-in-law Oria Lee and Everett Ratliff of Canton and sister-in-law Dora Clatworthy of Kentucky. Preceded in death by sister Betty (Richard) Moore of Hartville and three brothers Jimmy Clatworthy, Johnny Clatworthy, Bobby (Faye) Clatworthy. Family present on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the PERNA, DENGLER, ROBERTS FUNERAL HOME, 1671 Maple Rd, where services will take place at 7:30 PM in Williamsville, New York. Calling hours in Ohio are Saturday 10-10:30 AM in the Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Services will begin at 10:30 AM officiated by Dean Miller. Burial immediately follows in Mount Peace Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dr. Clatworthy's name can be made to Alice Lloyd or Berea College Scholarship Fund.
