Wayne L. Robenstine, age 72, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord and his wife of 39 years, Barbara, on March 30, 2014, unexpectedly. He was born in Canton on April 3, 1941 to the late John and Mabel (Miller) Robenstine and graduated from Green High School in 1959. He enlisted in the Army Reserves Jan 1964 and married Barbara Horwath in August 1964. He started at Monarch Rubber Co. after high school, and retired from Trelleborg Monarch after 40 years. He was an active member of New Milford Church of God in Ravenna, where he sang in a quartet, the choir and served on numerous boards. Previously he had attended the Church of God in Akron (McKinley Ave.), Barberton, Alliance and Hartville. He had a servant's heart and loved to sing. He loved fishing and his grandchildren and an avid Brown's and Indian's Fan. Preceded in death by his wife Barbara 2004; he is survived by son and daughter-in-law David and Terri Robenstine of Guntersville, AL; daughter and son-in-law Beth and Pastor Matt Smith of Battle Creek, MI; grandchildren Caleb, Mikhaela, Isaiah and Isaac Smith; mother-in-law Thelma Horwath of Akron; siblings Ellie (Don) Ferguson of Creston, Kevin (Debbie) Robenstine of Akron; aunt Nonie Robenstine of Uniontown; siblings-in-law Nora (Harold) Brown, Steven (Ruth) Horwath, Sharon (Jerry) Frient-Cooper; and cousins, nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Friday 2-4 & 6-8 PM and one hour prior to ervices Sat 10-11 AM all at New Milford Church of God, 237 New Milford Rd., Ravenna, 44266. Funeral services are Sat 11:00 AM in the church with Pastor Ed Beck officiating. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery, Hartville. Memorials may be made to the church.
