Walter J. Michalek, Jr. age 92, of North Canton died Thursday morning in Altercare of Nobles Pond. Born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Walter J. & Anna (Zabarowski) Michalek he had resided here since 1923. Walter retired in 1983 from the Bowdil Company after 43 years of service. An Army Veteran of WW II, he was a 1937 graduate of McKinley High School. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church of North Canton, and the Catholic Order of Foresters #1449. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife: Jane, an infant daughter Katherine, and two brothers: Bernard & Henry. Survivors include his son: Gregory J. Michalek of Canton. Granddaughter: Melissa Ann Michalek of Canton. Brother: Edward (Katherine) Michalek of Louisville, Sister: Martha Ann (Eugene)Piccari of Canton.
