Vivian B. Yoder, age 85, born January 03, 1924 in Canton, passed from this life to eternal life with our savior on Thursday August 20, 2009 after a battle with multiple myeloma. Most of her life was spent in Hartville and she was a 1941 graduate of Hartville High School. Preceded in death by husband Jacob (2001), daughter Judy Brokaw (1993) and son-in-law Richard Brokaw (2002), she is survived by sons Phillip of Akron, Craig of Hartville; grandsons Josh and Gabe Yoder of Columbus; granddaughter Nichole (Mark) Wood of Greenville, SC and their triplet daughters Ellie, Katy and Rachel, whom she loved very much; other relatives and friends. She was very active with Lake Local Schools and the Hartville Community. For many years, she was a local correspondent for the Repository, Beacon and Hartville News. She retired from Montgomery Ward Distribution Center in Akron in 1982, and during retirement enjoyed wintering in Florida with her husband. The Yoders were blessed with many good friends throughout the years. They were active members in the Hartville Church of Christ for over 50 years and recently Vivian was a member of The Chapel of Marlboro. Their years were filled with socializing with friends in many favorite activities including traveling, golf and card games. A memorial service will be held Saturday 10 AM in the Chapel of Marlboro with Pastor Joel Cochran officiating. Burial of Cremains will take place at Mount Peace Cemetery at a later date.
