Vivian Laura Kinsley, age 93 of Canton formerly of Hartville went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday night July 31, 2007. She was born in Middlebranch, OH on November 7, 1913 to the late Herman L. and Orintha (Combs) Smith and had worked at the Hartville Locker and Hartville Hardware. An active member of the Grace Brethren Church of Middlebranch, Vivian and her husband, Herman, are the oldest members, 68 years. She had taught Sunday School and had been superintendent of the Primary Sunday School for over 30 years. She served on the Communion Committee for 25 years and served as recording secretary for the church. She was a member of and a coordinator of the Golden Buckeyes. After retirement, Vivian and Herman were very involved with making crafts and selling them at local craft shows. A recent highlight was this past November when family and friends gathered with Vivian and Herman to celebrated their 75th Wedding Anniversary. At that time they were honored by the Courts of Stark County and by the Ohio State Senate. Preceded in death by daughter, Ellen Ruth Kinsley; sister Beatrice Smith and brother Kenneth Smith. She is survived by her husband of 75 years Herman J. Kinsley; son and daughter-in-law, L. Gerald and Sally Kinsley of Canton; grandsons and friends, Jarrod S. Kinsley of Canton and Christina Rodriguez, Timothy S. Kinsley of Magnolia and Erica Warner; granddaughter and spouse Katie Lynn and Sam Lawhorn of Akron; great-grandchildren, Alexander S. and Maxwell S. Kinsley. Friends may call Monday 5-8 PM and 1 hour prior to services Tuesday 10-11 AM in the Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Services are Tuesday 11 AM in the funeral home with Tom Embaugh officiating.
